As spring segues into summer, the Parisienne turns her back on the city streets to follow the call of the sea and its sense of freedom. Surfing is more than a sport – it’s a lifestyle, a whole culture formed by the freshness of the spray and the dazzling light of the sun.

This vibrant aura permeates the Parisienne’s summer wardrobe. Silhouettes are more fluid, more colorful, with flashes of sun-drenched pop or pastel shades.

The iconography of the Summer 2026 collection dives into an ocean of references to surf culture: the Longchamp horse transforms into a rearing steed and rides the waves of cool on a pop-style crest with the motto “Catch the Parisian Wave”.

The season’s key pieces are a faded denim jacket embroidered with waves, a dress printed with overlapping surfboards, an overshirt worn with bloomer shorts. Tweed, knit and cotton come in gradient rainbow shades, sunset hues or multicolored madras, creating a vibrant, graphic kaleidos- cope on the ready-to-wear.

Turning to accessories, the Re-Play line draws inspiration from the ingenious, multi-carry bags beloved of surfers, while the Épure bag is worn around the neck like a pendant – an ever-present talisman of summer. Insiders will even use it to hold their bar of wax.

Woven Raphia, macramé, wood... Natural materials are synonymous with summer. Crafted by hand by the artisans of the NGO Anaka in Madagascar, Le Roseau in raffia is finished with a natural leather lace and a maple-wood toggle. In a similar spirit, Le Panier Pliage catches the summer vibe with its color gradations inspired by beach mats, while Le Roseau in cotton canvas goes for raw beauty with its maple toggle and leather handles.

Summer just wouldn’t be summer without a straw hat, sunglasses and a swimsuit! When she leaves the beach, the Parisienne slips on lambskin mules with a bamboo detail, long dresses with a wave print, polo shirts with wide stripes, or ruffled blouses in madras, perfect for the cool of summer evenings.

“This season, I wanted to capture the art de vivre of the surfer, at once wild and free, yet also feminine and elegant. The collection spotlights pop colors and prints that are an invitation to let go and get creative in order to ride the style wave all summer long.” — Sophie Delafontaine, Longchamp Creative Director.
