Ann Demeulemeester announces the release of the third edition of KIDS, the cultural project in the form of a visual diary curated by creative director Stefano Gallici. This new chapter immerses itself in the vibrant cultural landscape of Los Angeles—a city that has become a personal playground for Gallici’s creative exploration. LA offers a unique blend of music, cinema, and street culture that deeply resonates with the creative director’s vision and process.
“Los Angeles is starting to feel like a new home for me,” says Stefano Gallici. “Every time I return, there’s this immediate sense of familiarity. It’s a place where I feel deeply connected to my creative process. Working here feels effortless—the city’s energy flows naturally, and everything comes intuitively. It’s as if I already know how the project will evolve before it even begins. LA has become a space for constant exploration, where I meet new people, form meaningful connections, and build on the ideas that seamlessly integrate into KIDS.”
For this edition of KIDS, Stefano brought together a group of friends and new acquaintances who reflect the multifaceted nature of Los Angeles. Sophie Thatcher, an actress and singer; Chris Greatti, producer and guitarist; Dove Armitage, musician; Bella Scaffidi, film archivist; and Nico Geyer, a musician and model—each embody a different aspect of the city’s ever-evolving cultural landscape.
For Stefano, KIDS is about cultivating a community rather than simply collaborating with individuals. The people involved inspire him not only through their craft but also through their personal stories and artistic expressions, which enrich the project in unexpected ways.
“Los Angeles has always been at the heart of music, film, and fashion, and it felt completely natural to bring these people into KIDS,” says Stefano. “Each of them has a deep connection to their art, and together, they create a genuine spirit of collaboration. Sophie ’s unique blend of acting and music, Chris’s raw energy and passion for sound, Dove ’s musical talent, Bella’s work as a film archivist preserving classic films, and Nico’s dual role as both a musician and model—they all contribute something truly inspiring, adding new layers of depth to KIDS.”
“One of the most memorable moments during the shoot really captures the essence of this chapter,” says Stefano. “We were at Sophie ’s house in the Hollywood Hills, and while shooting her, we played this record called “The Boy with the Arab Strap” by Belle and Sebastian. It was like everything fell into place—suddenly, it felt as though the direction of KIDS had already been set in motion.
Under the soft, golden light, the whole project seemed to flow effortlessly. This edition of KIDS has been the easiest to create—it’s been the most natural, intuitive, and full of inspiration. It’s exactly how working in LA feels—easy, organic, and full of creative energy.”
For this edition of KIDS, Stefano Gallici and longtime collaborator Jason Renaud incorporated video to capture LA’s fluidity and constant motion, shooting everything on Super8 film to enhance the project’s raw, analog aesthetic. Deeply connected to the medium, Stefano found its texture and imperfections perfectly aligned with the city’s spirit.
With LA as both backdrop and creative catalyst, this third edition marks a new chapter in his dialogue with the brand’s community. “LA is not just a location; it’s where I feel deeply connected to my creative identity. This chapter is not just a reflection of the city—it’s an unfolding journey of endless inspiration.”
The SS25 chapter of KIDS redefines the fashion campaign as a living, evolving platform—one that amplifies emerging talent while forging authentic bonds. Against the backdrop of Los Angeles, the project reaffirms the house ’s dedication to diversity, creativity, and the transformative power of collective expression. With each edition, KIDS continues to push boundaries, promising even more uncharted territories to explore in the future.
