A DIALOGUE BETWEEN DISCIPLINES

A tribute to Elsa Schiaparelli’s timeless legacy, Schiaparelli Anglomaniac, edited by Thierry- Maxime Loriot in the wake of the exhibition Schiaparelli: Fashion Becomes Art, which opened on March 28 at the V&A Museum in London and is published by SKIRA, explores the dialogue between the Maison and the British creative scene. Bringing together more than fifty contributors from different generations, the book highlights how her aesthetic continues to inspire artists, photographers, stylists, and image creators.

FROM HERITAGE TO CONTEMPORARY EXPRESSION

Since its founding by Elsa Schiaparelli in the 1920s, the House of Schiaparelli has maintained close ties with the art world. This publication reflects that legacy, from historic collaborations with figures such as Cecil Beaton to contemporary interpretations led by Creative Director Daniel Roseberry. His vision fuels a constantly evolving multidisciplinary dialogue with artists around the Maison’s iconic codes, bridging past and present.

A COLLECTIVE APPROACH

The book brings together established and emerging voices, offering a broad vision of contemporary creation. The contributions span various fields—photography, fashion design, and imagery— while sharing a common interest in craftsmanship, experimentation, and visual storytelling.

Among the figures featured are legendary photographers Cecil Beaton and Norman Parkinson; established artists such as Nick Knight, Stephen Jones, Tim Walker, and Pat McGrath; as well as a new generation including Nadine Ijewere, Campbell Addy, Felix Cooper, Nadia Lee Cohen, Jack Davison, Tom Craig, and Harley Weir. Together, these collaborators reflect the evolution of the cultural landscape surrounding the Maison.

Through previously unseen images, new works, and interviews, the publication bears witness to a constantly evolving creative ecosystem. It reflects the Maison’s commitment to artistic dialogue and its place in contemporary culture.
