Campagne - 2/5/25

Michael Kors is pleased to announce the launch of the Spring/Summer 2025 Michael Kors Collection ad campaign, featuring Danish model Mona Tougaard photographed by Dutch duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and styled by Carlos Nazario.

The imagery draws inspiration from iconic black and white cinematography and the collection’s theme of Mediterranean romance. Shot in studio, the campaign pays homage to the breathtaking Italian coastline while capturing the season’s timeless and sensual silhouettes, artisanal details and luxurious handwork. The result is an intriguing story of understated opulence.

“The dichotomies in the collection feel very Mediterranean—laid-back but luxurious, rustic but opulent, the sophistication of the city with the attitude of a resort,” said designer Michael Kors. “We wanted to channel the moody romance of the Italian coastline in a studio, and Inez and Vinoodh and Mona were the perfect talents to bring that to life.”

This season also marks designer Michael Kors’ 35th year of working with craftsmen, tailors and artisans in Italy, and the clothing and ready-to-wear celebrate the luxury of hidden details and hand craftsmanship.

“For a designer, the greatest thing is to find partners who can bring your ideas to life, which is what Italy’s artisans have done for us for 35 years,” says the designer. “So this collection really highlights that workmanship, tailoring and handwork, the qualities that make a piece special and unique, and turn it into something you want to wear every day and own forever.”

As seen in the imagery, texture plays a large role in the season’s designs. Relaxed-chic hand- embroideries and fringe, artisanal floral fabric embroideries, luxe lace and sleek crushed satins and cottons create a lived-in kind of luxury. Sharply defined-waist silhouettes, slim long-line sheaths, soft skirts and relaxed trousers evoke an easy elegance, heightened by dramatic necklines and bare tailoring. Architectural black and white are combined with a range of earth tones, from chocolate and ecru to luminous shades of blue and green.

For footwear, sculptural heels take center stage, balanced by flat urban fisherman sandals. Hand-woven leather market and bucket bags, artisanal tassels, and braided handles on streamlined satchels keep the focus on workmanship from start to finish.

The global campaign will debut on social media platforms and print ads will run in select spring issues.
