BIRKENSTOCK 1774 introduces ENSEMBLE 1774— a new creative platform, fueled by the Paris-based creative studio, inviting visionary creative talents to imagine original projects. For this first chapter, Thibo Denis has been invited to imagine three brand new footwear silhouettes, globally launching early October 2025. Paris-based designer Thibo Denis has established himself as a key voice in contemporary footwear design, developing products for some of the industry’s most influential names.

Merging an understanding of form and function with a deep emotional connection to BIRKENSTOCK’s heritage, Denis introduces three original silhouettes— all of which feature the signature BIRKENSTOCK Blue Footbed. This removable, anatomically shaped insole is rooted in the brand’s orthopedic tradition and designed to support all arches of the foot, distributing pressure evenly across the entire surface — as if walking barefoot on natural ground.

For this collection, Denis explored the idea of designing a new sole with dynamic, sport-inspired lines — bringing athletic energy to the foundational language of BIRKENSTOCK. The concept behind the collection is rooted in the idea of “climbing” the city — as a metaphor for wandering, exploring, and moving freely through urban landscapes around the world.

While distinctly modern, the silhouettes maintain an immediate connection to BIRKENSTOCK’s DNA, visible at first glance. Color played a central role in the design process, with bold, carefully balanced combinations inspired by the spirit of 1970s Yosemite — a nod to freedom, outdoor movement, and timeless functionality.

Each silhouette features an outsole with BIRKENSTOCK’s iconic bone pattern and is finished with the distinctive 1774 emblem, embossed in blue on the sole. Named after BIRKENSTOCK’s historic factory locations, the three new styles pay homage to the brand’s legacy of craftsmanship and innovation.

The collection will be available from October 2nd, 2025, in unisex sizing from 36 to 47, at 1774.com and through selected global retail partners.
