Japanese actress Nana Komatsu embodies the new CHANEL COCO NEIGE 2025/26 collection campaign.Photographer Sean Thomas has captured her magnetic grace in a pristine winter landscape, as eachshot reveals the magical atmosphere of the snow-capped peaks.Launched in 2018, COCO NEIGE is a unique collection in the CHANEL universe, designed from the outset as a technical and sophisticated line dedicated to winter sports, reconciling performance and allure, technicality and refinement, city and altitude.
“While the collection reflects the CHANEL codes and holds functionality, I can see an unconventionally free side to it. I love how the collection is not bound by stereotypes and can be worn freely on the slopes and in the city,” confides Nana Komatsu.
The photographs reveal soft, contrasting tones – frosted pink, luminous ecru, pine green, deep navy and iridescent black. The silhouettes are all variations on alpine chic: a pink taffeta puffer jacket and matching trousers worn with a sheepskin trapper hat, together create a soft, enveloping allure; a multicoloured navy cardigan dialogues with dark technical trousers; a green and purple tweed suit revisits the iconic CHANEL allure; an ecru cashmere sweater embellished with a black bow adds a touch of poetry; a beige mohair jacket and short skirt ensemble plays the warm minimalism card, while a two-tone puffer jacket accompanies the descent onto the slopes. The highly graphic black and white series alternates quilted sweaters and coated trousers, while a festive look features firework motifs on cashmere.
The accessories – earmuffs, sunglasses, pocket belts, velvet-effect nylon bags, faux pony and rubber ankle boots as well as sheepskin boots adorned with velvet bows – add a playful versatility to each outfit.
“I want to combine the looks with pieces that are surprising and have fun with the styling,” she explains, confirming the collection's particularly adaptable nature. Playing with materials, contrasting styles, precious details and joyful references, each outfit in an invitation to freely compose one’s own allure. This campaign celebrates the idea of unbridled luxury: the beauty of a liberated gesture and elegance in motion. “I think the coexistence of elegance and comfort accurately reflects the spirit of CHANEL. Just as Gabrielle Chanel showed how to live freely without being trapped by convention, I think thi collection expresses inner strength balanced with comfort and beauty. This freedom that Gabrielle Chanel sought is still very present today,” concludes Nana Komatsu.
