September 2024 – Kendall Jenner and musician Teezo Touchdown star in Marni’s new digital campaign for the Fall/Winter 2024 collection, photographed by Colin Dodgson in the golden light of Los Angeles suburbia. Drawing a whimsical contrast between the domesticity of the setting, and the stunning, statement pieces from the collection, the pair embody the Marni spirit of eccentricity, comfort, and family.
In the intimacy of the setting, the collection’s emblematic pieces aren’t just worn, but embraced by the models, emphasizing a personal connection between design and the body.
Vibrant images, captured through characteristic warm yellow hues of Dodgson’s analog photography in the house’s interiors, showcase Kendall Jenner and Teezo Touchdown in key looks from the runway. The quintessential motifs of suburban paradise, white picket fences and all, draw an intentional tension with the animalic charisma of the collection. Rich, primal textures encourage a shedding of predefined structures, engaging in a sensual and powerful dialogue with the camera.
The shots also highlight Marni’s iconic TRUNKAROO bag, connecting the brand’s past and future design codes. Reducing the silhouette to its purest form, the bag becomes the central element of the campaign: a bold statement of modern elegance that stands out in the narrative.
Unveiled in a hand-crafted paper cave in the tunnels of Milan Central Station, the Fall/Winter 2024 Vol.2 collection returns to an original state of creation, forbidding any reference to pervade the creative act. In the shots, geometric capes, bell dresses, and oval coats dialogue with kidassia jackets and fully hand-painted mini dresses, exemplifying Marni’s impulse for tactility.
