Fashion house - 12/3/24
Located in a listed building and designed to create an intimate journey into the world of Jil Sander infused with Lucie and Luke Meier’s sensitivity and superior attention to detail, the store combines the modernity and elegance of the brand with the historical elements of the palazzo.
The entrance is carved out of stone, creating mineral, geological surfaces. The floors and walls are made from a silver-blue travertine. Based on the design initially developed by CMK for the brand’s Flagship store in London, it echoes the Meier’s work on the coalescence of ideas, and their commitment to build durable environments, designed to wear and age well over time, integrating natural and re-used materials.
The space features monochrome blocks of marble, brass architectural elements and timber pieces. Tables and seats are formed of recycled plastic from compact disc cases.
The space features original ceilings and elements of another time: wooden components, stone moldings and doorframes which are blended with the new concept to create contrast, yet harmony in each room.
Lighting is crucial to the experience. Studied to illuminate the historical features, with a soft natural light, it creates an intimate setting. A dimension that feels personal and private, suggesting care and concentration. Structural balance and a sense of discovery.
A space to discover the women’s and men’s runway and pre-collections across ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, and accessories. Among them, the signature Cannolo Bag: iconic, charming, and sharp. Hand-crafted in different sizes, with adjustable belts and unique, sculptural buckles, it can be quickly transformed from handbag to shoulder bag, from crossbody bag to pouch.
Its attitude, versatility, and sophistication are found in the rich choice of colors and materials, from matte to shiny, making it ready for day and night, for formal and casual wear.
